Shelley Olds firma la doppietta al Ladies Tour of Norway. Dopo aver conquistato il Criterium d’apertura, nella giornata di venerdì, oggi dopo uno sprint perfetto alza nuovamente le mani al cielo. Sua anche la speciale classifica a punti.

 

“Le ragazze hanno corso bene, sono sempre state presenti negli attacchi importanti di giornata e sempre vigili in testa al gruppo. Shelley, che gode di un’ottima condizione, ha finalizzato in modo perfetto: vincendo nettamente. Lo sprint non è stato per niente facile, è riuscita a non farsi chiudere e a vincere a modo suo, con una volata lunga. Sono molto soddisfatta perché hanno corso unite e hanno dimostrato di essere un ottimo gruppo, durante tutta la trasferta”. Questo il commento del Direttore Sportivo Fabiana Luperini, in ammiraglia sulle strade norvegesi.

 

Le #yellowfluorange, infatti, hanno inaugurato la trasferta con un successo. Venerdì 14 agosto, è stata proprio Shelley Olds a vincere il Criterium 350. Nella tappa d’apertura la forte velocista statunitense del Team Alè Cipollini Galassia sfiora il podio e chiude al 4^ posto. Nella tappa odierna, seconda e ultima, dopo un lavoro perfetto condotto dalle #yellowfluorange, Shelley Olds ha dominato lo sprint e non ha avuto rivali. Sua la seconda tappa, un successo che le ha permesso anche di conquistare la maglia verde, che rappresenta la speciale classifica a punti.

Ed ora, il prossimo appuntamento per le ladies di Alessia Piccolo sarà sempre sulle strade del Nord. Venerdì 21 agosto infatti saranno impegnate nella Prova di Coppa del Mondo in Svezia: una cronometro a squadre.

48 ore più tardi sarà ancora Coppa del Mondo: a Vargarda, infatti, andrà in scena la prova in linea.

SHELLEY OLDS WINS THE 2ND STAGE AND SHE FINISHED 2ND IN THE OVERALL RANKING

 

Second victory for Shelley Olds at Ladies Tour of Norway. After the first position in Criterium, she wins also the second stage of the Tour. For the #yellowfluorange lady also the victory of points classification.

“The girls made a great race, they have always been present in the most important attacks of the day and have always been in the head of the group. Shelley, who is in great condition, finalized the work of the whole team. The sprint has been not easy, she succeeded in winning in her own way, with a long sprint. I am very satisfied because we have proven to be a great team, during all these races in Norwey”. This is the comment of the Sports Director Fabiana Luperini in the team car on Norwegian roads.

 

The #yellowfluorange ladies started the races in Norwey with a victory. Indeed, Friday, August 14th, Shelley Olds won Criterium 350. Then in the first stage of Tour of Norwey the American sprinter was close to the podium, ending the stage in 4th position. Today, in the second and final stage of the race, after a perfect work done by the whole #yellowfluorange team, Shelley Olds dominated the sprint and had no rivals. She won the stage and conquered the green jersey, reserved to the leader of points classification.  

 

The next appointment for the ladies of Alessia Piccolo will always be on the streets of North. Friday, August 21th they will take place in the stage of World Cup in Sweden, a team time trial. 48 hours later they will be engaged in another stage of World Cup, this time in Vargarda.
