Cosa vedere Dallo spazio archeologico sotterraneo della Tridentum romana, alle facciate affrescate dei palazzi nobiliari cinquecenteschi, dal Castello del Buonconsiglio, il maggiore complesso monumentale del Trentino – Alto Adige, alla Basilica paleocristiana nel sottosuolo della Cattedrale di San Vigilio e al Museo Diocesano Tridentino, fino agli spazi espositivi d’avanguardia della Galleria Civica di Trento – Mart. Lo sguardo verso il futuro trova forza nel MUSE, modernissimo Museo delle Scienze disegnato da Renzo Piano, della cui rete fa parte anche il Museo dell’Aeronautica Gianni Caproni, mentre alle Gallerie di Piedicastello, gestite dalla Fondazione Museo storico del Trentino, trova spazio la storia e la memoria. Cosa fare

Trento è un palcoscenico perfetto anche per festival e manifestazioni di richiamo internazionale, come il Trento Film Festival, il Festival dell’Economia e a grande richiesta la 2a edizione del Festival dello Sport in programma dal 10 al 13 ottobre con grandi nomi dal mondo sportivo. Storia e folklore sono invece le protagoniste di rievocazioni storiche come le Feste Vigiliane in programma ogni anno nella seconda metà di giugno.

Il capoluogo è la location ideale anche per gli amanti dello sport e delle attività all’aria aperta. Per chi desidera trascorrere una piacevole giornata in tranquillità o con la famiglia, da non perdere una dolce pedalata sulla pista ciclabile lungo il fiume Adige tra frutteti, vigneti e bellissime montagne. I cicloamatori e i professionisti della bike possono invece vivere l’emozione di percorrere Le grandi salite del Trentino e godere dei tanti servizi utili come trasporti, assistenza meccanica e noleggi.

Per chi ama la camminata sono a disposizione inoltre 50 chilometri di sentieri nei boschi circostanti la città e percorsi di trekking urbano. L’anima sportiva di Trento trova espressione anche nei numerosi eventi sportivi che ospita come il Trento Running Festival con lo storico Giro al Sas, la Trento Half Marathon e la Giornata Nazionale del Trekking Urbano.

Da non perdere
Trento ha anche un forte legame anche con il suo territorio e le radici agricole: tutto l’anno è possibile gustare i sapori locali a Palazzo Roccabruna, casa dei prodotti trentini e sede dell’Enoteca provinciale del Trentino. Da non perdere inoltre gli eventi dedicati alle eccellenze enologiche locali come DiVinNosiola, quando il vino si fa santo, kermesse dedicata al Vino Nosiola, vitigno autoctono della Valle dei Laghi, Trentodoc, Bollicine sulla città ma anche all’enogastronomia d’eccellenza come la Festa d’Autunno.

What to see
From the underground archaeological space of the Roman Tridentum , to the frescoed facades of the sixteenth-century noble palaces, from the Castello del Buonconsiglio, the largest monumental complex in Trentino – Alto Adige, to the early Christian Basilica in the basement of the Cathedral of San Vigilio and to the Tridentine Diocesan Museum, up to the spaces avant-garde exhibitions of the Trento Civic Gallery – Mart . In Trento, tradition coexists with innovation thanks to its prestigious university and important international research centers. The look towards the future finds strength in the MUSE, a very modern Museum of Sciences designed by Renzo Piano, whose network also includes the Museum of Aviation Gianni Caproni, while at the Galleries of Piedicastello, managed by the Foundation Historic Museum of Trentino, there is space for history and memory. But the cultural and historical sites of the city are really many, to discover them just visit www.discovertrento.it .

What to do

Trento is a perfect stage also for festivals and international events, such as the Trento Film Festival, the Festival of Economics and by popular demand the 2nd edition of the Sports Festival scheduled in October from 10th to 13th with big names from the sports world. History and folklore are instead the protagonists of historical re-enactments such as the Vigiliane Feasts scheduled every year in the second half of June.

The capital is the ideal location even for lovers of sport and outdoor activities. For those who want to spend a pleasant day in peace or with the family, don’t miss a gentle ride on the bike path along the Adige river among orchards, vineyards and beautiful mountains. Cyclists and professionals of the bike can instead experience the thrill of taking the great climbs of Trentino and enjoying the many useful services such as transport, mechanical assistance and rentals.

For those who love walking there are also 50 kilometers of trails in the woods surrounding the city and urban trekking routes. The sporting soul of Trento is also expressed in the numerous sporting events it hosts such as the Trento Running Festival with the historic “Giro al Sas”, the Trento Half Marathon and the National Urban Trekking Day

Trento also has a strong bond with its territory and agricultural roots: all year round it is possible to taste the local flavors at Palazzo Roccabruna, home of Trentino products and the seat of the Trentino provincial wine shop. Also not to be missed are the events dedicated to local winemaking excellences such as DiVinNosiola , when the wine becomes a saint, a festival dedicated to Nosiola Wine, an autochthonous wine of the Valle dei Laghi, Trentodoc , Bollicine on the city but also to excellent food and wine as well as the Autumn Festival.
