GIRO D’ITALIA: MARCO FRAPPORTI SEMPRE PIU’ LEADER DEI TRAGUARDI VOLANTI

La Vini Zabù – Brado – KTM riallaccia il filo con la fuga nell’11^ tappa del Giro d’Italia, la Porto Sant’Elpidio – Rimini.

Per la quarta volta è stato Marco Frapporti il nostro portacolori nell’azione nata a inizio corsa che vedeva all’interno anche Francesco Romano, Fabio Mazzucco, Sander Armee e Mattia Bais.

Sono stati loro a giocarsi lo sprint al traguardo volante vinto da Romano sul nostro Frapporti che ha però conquistato punti pesanti portando a 10 lunghezze il suo vantaggio su Bais.

Dopo 150 km di fuga Frapporti veniva ripreso dal gruppo ma al termine della tappa si dimostrava soddisfatto.

“Ho passato un paio di giorni difficili ma adesso sto meglio. Vogliamo una vittoria di tappa e quindi ci riproveremo nei prossimi giorni”.

Allo sprint Arnaud Demare ha conquistato il suo quarto successo in questa edizione della Corsa Rosa con Simone Bevilacqua migliore dei nostri.

GIRO D’ITALIA: MARCO FRAPPORTI INCREASES THE ADVANTAGE IN THE INT. SPRINTS CLASSIFICATION

Team Vini Zabù – Brado – KTM was again on the breakaway in the 11th stage of the Giro d’Italia from Porto Sant’Elpidio to Rimini.

For the fourth time Marco Frapporti was able to find himself a spot in the breakaway together with Francesco Romano, Fabio Mazzucco, Sander Armee and Mattia Bais.

Those five riders sprinted to the intermediate sprint won by Romano on Frapporti who achieved some important points in this special classification opening a gap of 10 points on the second classified rider, Mattia Bais.

After 150 kms in the head of the race Frapporti was caught by the peloton but he was satisfied of his perfromance at the end of the stage

“The last days I suffered a lot, today I felt better and I tried. We want to win a stage and we will try to take every chance”.

Arnaud Demare won his 4th stage in this Giro at the sprint with Simone Bevilacqua as our top finisher.
