JUNIORES.

MARTINELLI IS THE KING OF CASETTE, PICCOLO TAKES THE GREEN JERSEY

A new amazing day for the selection of Lombardia that in the wonderful scenario of Casette takes it all again with Alessio Martinelli that has won in front of his team mate Andrea Piccolo, new leader of the general classification.

The stage was full of events and the fast pace from the finish has created troubles to the Green Jersey Marco Brenner (Germany), that was forced to chase all the attacks of the other major contenders. The decisive attack was launched on the second ascension of Foce with a 16 riders bunch that has reached a gap of over 2′ on the peloton with Brenner.

The Italian National team, with four riders in the decisive action, tried to shake up the things with Giosuè Crescioli but from the beginning of the climb of Casette the team of Lombardia has started to take the lead.

With 1000 metres to go only the norwegian Tjøtta was able to keep the pace of Piccolo and Martinelli with the riders of the team F.lli Giorgi that could celebrate at the finish after the 2nd place achieved yesterday.

Tomorrow big ending with the Ameglia Fiumaretta – Luni.
