1^ TAPPA DEL 44° GIRO DELLA LUNIGIANA
Lerici, 29/08/2019 – Buongiorno dalla 1^ tappa del 44° Giro della Lunigiana, organizzato dal Casano SSD e in programma dal 29 agosto al 1 settembre. Oggi i corridori saranno impegnati nella Lerici – La Spezia (Loc. Pegazzano) di 100 km. La tappa è dedicata alla memoria di Massimo Vanello, ciclista di Fiumaretta scomparso prematuramente e al quale è dedicata la maglia arancione
GPM E TRAGUARDI VOLANTI
La tappa avrà due traguardi volanti, al km 35.4 e al km 51.2, e ben cinque GPM. Tre di questi, Buonviaggio al km 11.6 e la doppia ascesa a Terme di Roverano, km 41.8 e 57.6, sono di 3^ categoria, successivamente La Foce, km 84, di 2^ categoria, e Biassa, km 92.6, di 1^ categoria. Il corridore che transiterà per primo sul GPM di Biassa riceverà un premio speciale istituito alla memoria di Sergio D’Imporzano
PERCORSO
La tappa si sviluppa interamente nel territorio ligure e più precisamente nella provincia di La Spezia. Dopo la partenza, prevista per le ore 13:30 nella suggestiva cornice del Golfo dei Poeti, le insidie della frazione si intrecceranno nell’entroterra spezzino con le ascese più complicate concentrate negli ultimi 20 km di corsa. L’arrivo è situato davanti al Museo del Ciclismo di Pegazzano.

GOOD MORNING FROM THE 1ST STAGE OF THE 44TH GIRO DELLA LUNIGIANA
Lerici, 29/08/2019 – Good morning from the 1st stage of the 44th Giro della Lunigiana, organized by Casano SSD and scheduled from the 29th of august to the 1st of september. Today the riders will be racing from Lerici to La Spezia (Loc. Pegazzano) for 100 kms. The stage is dedicated to the memory of Massimo Vanello, former cyclist born in Fiumaretta and killed while he was training. The Orange Jersey has his name.
KOM AND INTERMEDIATE SPRINTS
Two intermediate sprints in this first stage, one will be at the km 35.4 and the other one at the km 51.2. There are five KOM in program. Buonviaggio, at km 11.6, and the double ascension to Terme di Roverano, km 41.8 and 57.6, are of 3rd category, then the riders will go on Foce, km 84, of 2nd category, and Biassa, km 92.6, of 1st category. The first rider at the top of the KOM of Biassa will receive a special prize in memory of Sergio d’Imporzano
ROUTE
The stage is entirely in Liguria in the province of La Spezia. The start is at 13:30 in the beatyful Golfo dei Poeti in Lerici and, after a hilly first half of the stage, the riders will face a very hard final part with the most difficult climbs located in the last 20 kms. The finish line is next to the Museum of Cycling of Pegazzano.
