LAMPRE-MERIDA NEGLI EMIRATI ARABI UNITI – LAMPRE-MERIDA IN THE UNITED ARAB EMIRATES



Giornata di viaggio per i membri del team LAMPRE-MERIDA che dal 4 al 7 febbraio saranno impegnati nella seconda edizione del Dubai Tour.

 

Come nella passata stagione, saranno 4 le tappe della corsa araba (dubaitour.com), con un percorso reso però nel complesso selettivo dalla 3^frazione:

– 4 febbraio, Union Flag stage, 145 km;

– 5 febbraio, Palm Stage, 185 km;

– 6 febbraio, Desert Stag, 205 km. Dubai Hatta Dam, finale su un muro di 200 metri con pendenze anche al 17%, dislivello totale 1.200 metri;

– 7 febbraio, Burj Stage, 128 km. La conclusione si svolgerà davanti al Burj Khalifa, il grattacielo più alto del mondo (828 metri).

 

La LAMPRE-MERIDA conterà su Filippo Pozzato per la classifica generale, su Davide Cimolai per gli sprint, su Jan Polanc, Luka Pibernik, Rafael Valls e Xu Gang per animare la corsa e dare assistenza ai capitani.

Correranno inoltre due esordienti nella formazione del team manager Copeland: Ilia Koshevoy farà il suo debutto come professionista, dopo essersi fatto apprezzare come stagista nella passata stagione con la maglia blu-fucsia-verde; Chun Kai Feng segnerà un primato per il ciclismo asiatico diventando il primo ciclista taiwanese a correre in una formazione World Tour.

 

La squadra sarà guidata dai ds Marco Marzano e Simone Pedrazzini, supportati dai massaggiatori Capelli e Napolitano, dai meccanici Romanò e Viganò, dal dottor Beltemacchi, dall’addetto stampa Carlo Saronni e dal media manager per l’Asia Zhao Haoyang.

 

 

 

Team LAMPRE-MERIDA is flying to United Arab Emirates in order to take part in the second edition of the Dubai Tour.

 

In the Arab race (4-7 February) there will be 4 stages and the course will be tougher than the past edition:

– 4 February, Union Flag stage, 145 km;

– 5 February, Palm Stage, 185 km;

– 6 February, Desert Stage, 205 km. Dubai Hatta Dam, arrival on a 200 mt hill with max degree of 17%;

– 7 February, Burj Stage, 128 km. Finish line at Burj Khalifa,the highest skyscreaper in the world (828 mt).

 

Filippo Pozzato will be the team captain for the overall classification, Davide Cimolai will fight in the sprints: they both will receive the support by Jan Polanc, Luka Pibernik, Rafael Valls and Xu Gang, who all will have the chance to be in the breakaways.

 

Two important debuts in LAMPRE-MERIDA: Ilia Koshevoy will take part in his first race as pro, after having spent the second part of 2014 as trainee in blue-fuchsia-green; Chun Kai Feng will set a new limit for the Asian cycling, being the first Taiwanese rider to race in a World Tour team.

 

The team will be directed by Marco Marzano and Simone Pedrazzini, who’ll receive the support by the masseurs Capelli and Napolitano, by the mechanics Romanò and Viganò, by the doctor Beltemacchi, by the press officer Carlo Saronni and by the media manager Zhao Haoyang.
