LAMPRE-MERIDA TRA QATAR E ITALIA – LAMPRE-MERIDA IN QATAR AND IN ITALY

Una formazione blu-fucsia-verde proseguirà la serie di corse arabe prendendo parte da domenica 8 febbraio al Tour of Qatar, mentre un’altra selezione correrà sempre domenica in Italia nel Gp Costa degli Etruschi.

 

Per il Tour of Qatar (8-13 febbraio), il ds Philippe Mauduit, all’esordio sull’ammiraglia Mitsubishi della LAMPRE-MERIDA, avrà a disposizione Bono, Mario Costa, Ferrari, Modolo, Oliveira, Plaza, Pozzato e Richeze.

Lo staff operativo sarà composto dal dottor De Grandi, dai massaggiatori Del Gallo, Lima e Redaelli e dai meccanici Bacchion e Pengo.

 

“La variabile principale del Tour of Qatar è il vento: è un nemico per le formazioni che corrono poco compatte, ma può rivelarsi grande amico per le squadre unite e ben organizzate – ha sottolineato il ds Mauduit – Mi aspetto di vedere dalla LAMPRE-MERIDA solidità e compattezza. Potremo contare su atleti che hanno già corso durante la stagione come Bono, Ferrari, Modolo, Pozzato e Richeze, ai quali si aggiungeranno buoni passisti come Plaza e Oliveira e l’esordiente Mario Costa.

Sacha punta a essere protagonista nelle volata, abbiamo gli uomini adatti per condurlo bene allo sprint.

La terza frazione sarà una cronometro: mi aspetto che tutti i nostri atleti la affrontino con concentrazione e motivazione”.

 

Il Gp Costa degli Etruschi rappresenterà la prima corsa stagionale della LAMPRE-MERIDA in Europa, occasione per la quale la direzione in corsa sarà affidata a Daniele Righi, chiamato a guidare Bonifazio, Cattaneo, Conti, Durasek, Mori e Niemiec.

A supportare la squadra ci saranno il Dottor Ronchi, l’autista Bozzolo, i meccanici Bortoluzzo e Baron e i massaggiatori Chiodini e Negri.

 

Questa l’analisi del ds Righi: “La corsa vivrà sulla lotta tra i velocisti e il gruppo di corridori che sanno unire brillantezza sugli strappi e rapidità.

Il nostro velocista di punta sarà Bonifazio, con già alcuni giorni di corsa nelle gambe grazie alla partecipazione al Tour Down Under.

Se il finale dovesse essere movimentato, potrebbe entrare in scena Conti: ha le caratteristiche adatte, ma va considerato che è all’esordio stagione.

Niemiec e Durasek rappresentano delle sicurezze in fatto di rendimento, mentre andranno valutate le condizioni di Cattaneo e Mori, alle prese con qualche acciacco”.

 

LAMPRE-MERIDA tra Qatar e Italia

Two frontlines for Team LAMPRE-MERIDA in the weekend.

 

One group will race in Tour of Qatar, another one will start the European season taking part in Gp Costa degli Etruschi.

 

For Tour of Qatar (8-13 February), the sport director Philippe Mauduit, who’ll debut on the blue-fuchsia-green Mitsubishi team car, will direct Bono, Mario Costa, Ferrari, Modolo, Oliveira, Plaza, Pozzato and Richeze.

In the team staff there will be the doctor De Grandi, the masseurs Del Gallo, Lima and Redaelli and the mechanics Bacchion and Pengo.

 

“The wind usually is the most important variable in this race: it’s enemy of those teams that don’t race as an unite group, while it’s a good friends of those teams whose riders are skilfull in racing one close to the other – sport director Mauduit explained –

I’d really like to see our team as an united group, especially in supporting Modolo for the sprints.

Most of our cyclists have already raced during this season, as Modolo, Pozzato, Ferrari, Richeze and Bono did, so their condition should be good. Oliveira and Plaza are at their seasonal debut and the same is for Mario Costa.

The time trial of the third stage will be a very interesting test and I’d like all the riders will give their best for it”.

 

Gp Costa degli Etruschi (8 February) will open the European season for LAMPRE-MERIDA.

Daniele Righi will direct Bonifazio, Cattaneo, Conti, Durasek, Mori and Niemiec.

The team will be supported by Dr Ronchi, by the driver Bozzolo, by the mechanics Bortoluzzo and Baron and by the masseurs Chiodini and Negri.

 

Righi pointed out that: “The main plot of the race will be the duel between the sprinters and those riders who joins skill in approaching the hills and fast actions in the final parts of the races.

We can rely on a top sprinter as Bonifazio, who has already raced during the season having taken part in Tour Down Under.

If the final part of the race should be demanding, Conti could be our key rider, but we must consider that on Sunday he’ll be making his seasonal debut”.
