NERI SOTTOLI : EDOARDO ZARDINI RINNOVA FINO AL 2021

La Neri Sottoli – Selle Italia – KTM, dopo l’approdo dei tre stagisti annunciato settimana scorsa, continua a costruire il proprio futuro. E’ arrivata infatti la firma di Edoardo Zardini che ha rinnovato il suo contratto, che scadeva a fine stagione, fino al 2021.

Lo scalatore veronese rimarrà legato alla squadra di Angelo Citracca per altre due stagioni, giusto premio ad un corridore generoso e con grande spirito di sacrificio che quest’anno si è spesso prodigato per i suoi compagni mettendosi anche in mostra in diverse occasioni con azioni da lontano.

“Sono molto contento del rinnovo – afferma Zardini – in questa squadra ho trovato il mio equilibrio dopo anni difficili. Faccio parte di un gruppo fantastico e sono pronto a mettermi a disposizione dei miei capitani senza tralasciare la possibilità di togliermi delle soddisfazioni nella speranza di poter tornare a correre un Giro d’Italia”

Particolarmente felice dell’accordo anche il Direttore Sportivo Luca Scinto “Zardini è un ragazzo serio, che rispetta sempre le disposizioni tecniche in corsa. E’ inoltre un grande lavoratore, sempre al servizio della squadra. Quando lo abbiamo preso nel 2018 il nostro obiettivo era farlo tornare sui livelli anteriori al terribile incidente che ebbe a Lugano, passo dopo passo ci stiamo riuscendo e siamo sicuri che farà benissimo nella seconda parte di stagione”

EDOARDO ZARDINI RENEWS HIS CONTRACT

After announcing three stagiaires last week, the team Neri Sottoli – Selle Italia – KTM keeps on building the future as Edoardo Zardini has renewed his contract till the season 2021.

The veronese climber will stay with the team of Angelo Citracca for other two years, a well deserved prize for a generous rider who has often worked for his team mates during this season where he was also very active looking a spotlight in the breakaways.

Zardini commented “I’m very happy of this new agreement as in this team I’ve found myself again after some difficult seasons. I’m part of an amazing group and I’m ready to work again for my captains and, in some races, to look for a win hoping to be back at the start of a Giro d’Italia”

The Sport Director Luca Scinto looks satisfied “Zardini is a serious guy, he always respects the disposals during the race. He is also a great worker, he gives it all for the team. When we signed him in 2018 our target was to bring him back to the level he had before the terrible crash of Lugano 2016, step by step we are achieving it and we are sure that he will do great in the second part of the season”
