TOUR DU LIMOUSIN

Con un perfetto spunto in volata Sonny Colbrelli ha vinto la 1° Tappa del Tour du Limousin (Limoges – Saint Yrieix la Perche, 176.3km), conquistando anche la maglia di leader della corsa a tappe francese.

 

Il velocista della Bardiani – CSF, pur rimanendo coinvolto in una caduta a 20km dall’arrivo, riusciva grazie all’eccellente lavoro dei suoi compagni di squadra a recuperare la testa del gruppo nell’impegnativo finale e poi a conquistare il successo, precedendo nettamente l’altro italiano Andrea Pasqualon (Roth – Skoda) e il belga Timothy Dupont (Roubaix Lille Metropole).

DICHIARAZIONI

 

Sonny Colbrelli:”Sono veramente contento per questo primo successo stagionale arrivato dopo diversi piazzamenti nelle precedenti gare e un po’ di sfortuna nella prima parte del 2015. Sono uscito dal Tour of Utah con un’ottima gamba e alla prima occasione ho colto la vittoria. Il percorso odierno era molto impegnativo, strade strette, continue curve e senza un metro di pianura. Sono anche caduto ma fortunatamente senza conseguenze. Negli ultimi chilometri con la squadra abbiamo tenuto la corsa cucita e poi sul rettilineo finale in leggera salita Battaglin mi ha lanciato perfettamente ai -200 metri. A quel punto per me è stato più facile del previsto sprintare e vincere la tappa”. 

 

Mirko Rossato:”Bravo Sonny e con lui tutta la squadra che oggi ha mostrato un’ottima condizione e un’eccellente coesione, mai semplice su percorsi così complicati. Abbiamo iniziato il Tour du Limousin nel migliore dei modi e ora dobbiamo essere bravi a continuare così già da domani”.

 

 

TOUR DU LIMOUSIN: COLBRELLI WINS THE STAGE 1!

 

 

With a perfect sprint Sonny Colbrelli conquered the opening stage of Tour du Limousin (Limoges – Saint Yrieix la Perche, 176.3km), taking also the leader jersey of the french stage race.

 

Bardiani – CSF’s puncheur, while remaining involved in a crash with 20km to go, was able to come back in the first part of the peloton during the demanding finale of the stage and then led out by his teammates took the victory after a superb sprint in the center of the final straight, ahead to Andrea Pasqualon (Roth – Skoda) and Timothy Dupont (Roubaix Lille Metropole).

Sonny Colbrelli:”I’m very happy for the first victory of this season after several placings and some bad luck in the first part of 2015. I came out from Tour of Utah with good legs and I was able to use them at the first opportunity. The route today was really demanding, all up and downs. Also I went down with 20km to go, fortunately without injury. Then in the last part, my teammates were perfect to take the control of the peloton and on the final straight Battaglin led out me with the perfect timing and for me everything was simpler”.
