Vittoria has expanded its range for the world’s best-known and most-used cotton tire with the Corsa Control.

This Graphene-enhanced new version in the Corsa series is a direct successor of Vittoria’s much appreciated Pavé tire. While the Corsa tubular and open tubular models already benefit from the Pavé-inspired stronger casing and the added strength offered by Graphene, there is a clear demand for a product that will handle the most extreme racing conditions.

Whether the competition is held on cobble stones like the iconic race Paris-Roubaix, in rainy or slippery conditions, or on rough and poor road conditions, the Corsa Control is designed specifically for such purposes. Using the finest 320 TPI CoreSpun-K casing with aramid reinforcement as well as a thicker tread, this new tire is every competitive rider’s best bet to face such challenges and come out ahead unscathed. than ever, the Corsa Control still offers the flexible casing and 4 compound-tread to offer the best performance in speed, grip, durability and puncture protection.

The Corsa Control has its own unique tread pattern for enhanced (wet) grip, increased durability and dynamic performance benefits. Following the trend of larger volume tubulars in road racing, the tubular version of this product is also available in 30-28” sizes. In addition to Vittoria’s classic para sidewalls, all versions are also available in full black.

Corsa Control Technologies in Detail

320 TPI CoreSpun-K

The supple handmade cotton CoreSpun casing ensures maximum traction. No energy is lost on uneven road surface because the casing allows small deformations instead of bouncing up. 320 TPI is the market’s highest number of treads (Vittoria’s finest CoreSpun cotton) per inch in a single casing layer. CoreSpun means that the cotton is spun around a

polyamide core for added strength without loss of flexibility.

The tread for the Corsa leverages our latest 4C (four compound) technology to its maximum potential. By combining four different layers of unique compounds, Vittoria optimizes each area of the tread for the performance the rider needs. The G Isotech tread is hand-glued onto the cotton casing, unlike nylon-based tires where the rubber is forced

and vulcanized into the casing. This eliminates tension and friction between tread and casing, offering the maximum flexibility.

Tubular and Open Tubular

The Corsa Control (Tubular) is available in sizes 25-28” (295 grams), 28-28” (350 grams), 30-28” (370 grams).

The Corsa Control (Open) is available in sizes 25-622/ 700x25C (265 grams) and 28-622/ 700x28C (280 grams).

Graphene

Our Graphene-enhanced compounds become rigid and more flexible, depending on the needs of the rider. If the tire is rolling straight, the rubber is at its hardest and offers low rolling resistance. If the rider breaks, accelerates or corners, the compounds soften and offer significantly more grip. Effectively, the introduction of Graphene allows for natural

material barriers of rubber to be removed, which means that there is no longer the need for compromises between speed, grip, durability and puncture resistance. All these features are now reaching their maximum possibilities.

Updates in the Corsa series

In Vittoria’s 2018 product offering, the Corsa is now also available in full black for all versions. Additionally, the Corsa Speed has been improved in its entirety and new sizes have been added by popular demand. The Corsa Speed is now available in 23-28” and 25-28” for tubulars and 23-622 (700x23C) and 25-622 (700x25C) for open tubulars, all in

full black and anthracite color options. For the Corsa Speed tubulars, a para sidewall option is also available.
