Niente Vuelta al Tachira per Jefferson Alexander Cepeda.

Il giovane ecuadoriano dell’Androni Giocattoli Sidermec, proprio alla vigilia della partenza della parte italiana di team per la gara venezuelana di apertura di stagione, si deve fermare a causa del Covid. Il 22enne Cepeda, che è asintomatico e sta bene, è risultato positivo al Coronavirus dopo un test effettuato ieri in Ecuador, dove si stava allenando, proprio in vista della partenza per il Venezuela.

Per Cepeda la Vuelta al Tachira non è fortunata: l’anno passato, quando era in lizza per il successo finale, fu vittima di una caduta e costretto ad abbandonare la corsa, ora il forfait anticipato.
«Spiace molto che Jefferson Cepeda sia risultato positivo al Covid e per la nostra squadra è una perdita importante, perché puntavamo su di lui per salire sul podio finale della Vuelta Tachira» spiega il team manager di Androni Giocattoli Sidermec Gianni Savio. «Comunque, sono certo che sapremo reagire a questa avversità e affronteremo la corsa venezuelana con determinazione ed entusiasmo».

No Vuelta al Tachira for Jefferson Alexander Cepeda.

The young Ecuadorian from Androni Giocattoli Sidermec, just on the eve of the departure of the Italian part of the team for the Venezuelan opening race of the season, has to stop because of Covid.

The 22 year old Cepeda, who is asymptomatic and is fine, tested positive for Coronavirus after a test carried out yesterday in Ecuador, where he was training, just in view of his departure for Venezuela.
