NIPPO VINI FANTINI -TOUR OF JAPAN

La NIPPO Vini Fantini ha iniziato fortissimo in Giappone.

 

Dopo la volata vinta da Nicolas Marini nella kermesse iniziale, Mattia Pozzo conquista la maglia del GPM nella seconda tappa. Didier Chaparro arriva 9° ed è ora 12° in generale, Antonio Nibali 13°.

La NIPPO Vini Fantini parte forte in Giappone, desiderosa di lasciare il segno nell’appuntamento molto importante per il team italo-giapponese. Dopo la volata vinta da Marini su Bonifacio (Lampre) domenica, oggi Mattia Pozzo conquista la maglia del leader dei GPM grazie a scatti ben calibrati per avvantaggiarsi sugli avversari poco prima dei gran premi. Strategia e determinazione che portano anche al 9° posto di tappa per Didier Chaparro, ora 12° in generale a 38’ dal leader. Subito dietro di lui un altro #OrangeBlue, Antonio Nibali, che sta dimostrando una grande crescita costante.

 

Mattia Pozzo esprime la sua gioia per la maglia da leader dei GPM: “Non si tratta ancora delle grandi montagne ma sono felice di aver conquistato questa maglia in una competizione così importante per il nostro team e per i nostri sostenitori Giapponesi. La gara è stata nervosa con molti scatti e tentativi di attacco, ma io sono riuscito a fare quelli buoni, in prossimità dei GPM. Ho buone sensazioni sia per me che per il team e anche i miei compagni stanno molto bene.

TOUR OF JAPAN: MATTIA POZZO IS THE NEW LEADER OF THE GPM, DIDIER CHAPARRO IS NINTH IN THE STAGE.

 

 

The NIPPO Vini Fantini began in the best way as possible in Japan. After the victory in the sprint for Nicolas Marini in the Criterium, Mattia Pozzo take the GPM leader Jersey in the second stage. Didier Chaparro in the same stage reached the 9° position, and is now 12° in the global ranking, Antonio Nibali is 13°.

Thanks to good sprints in the right climbs he get the advantage on other riders in the best moments. Strategy and determination that gave also the 9° position of the stage to Didier Chaparro, that is now 12° in the global ranking, followed by another #OrangeBlue rider, Antonio Nibali, that is growing up his condition more and more.

 

Mattia Pozzo is very happy of the result: “It is not yet time of great climbs, but it his an honor to achieve this Jersey of leader of GPM here in Japan, where for our team and sponsor is very important. The race was very nervous, with lot of sprint and little escape, but I was in the right place at the right time to reach the result. JI have good feelings for me and also for my team mathes, we all are doing very well.”
