GANNA, GIOVANE TALENTO IN ORBITA LAMPRE-MERIDA

La LAMPRE-MERIDA concretizza ancora una volta la sua attenzione nei confronti dei giovani talenti e verso la base del ciclismo italiano.

 

Entra infatti nell’orbita blu-fucsia-verde Filippo Ganna, classe 1996 originario di Verbania.

 

Fisico statuario (193 cm per 76 kg) Ganna è uno dei più promettenti prospetti italiani, con ottime qualità da passista e cronoman. A riprova del talento, quattro vittorie nel 2014 nella categoria juniores con la maglia dell’Aspiratori Otelli Mastercrom, tra le quali spicca il titolo tricolore nella prova contro il tempo.

Filippo ha vestito la maglia della nazionale italiana sia su strada (sfoggiando una bella prestazione nella Parigi-Roubaix di categoria) che su pista.

Nel 2015, il giovane talento correrà tra le fila della Viris Maserati e la LAMPRE-MERIDA seguirà lo sviluppo del ragazzo.

 

“E’ nota la nostra predisposizione verso la valorizzazione dei giovani talenti tramite un percorso da compiere nei giusti tempi: con Ganna abbiamo gettato le basi di un progetto che, ci auguriamo, possa ricalcare quanto compiuto ad esempio con Bonifazio e Conti – ha spiegato il team manager Copeland – Le qualità di Filippo lasciano intravvedere ottime prospettive e ampi margini di crescita.

E’ importante sottolineare come le doti di Ganna possano rivelarsi preziose per il movimento ciclistico italiano, data la predisposizione fisica e l’attitudine del ragazzo per le cronometro e per le classiche del pavè.

Filippo lavorerà con tranquillità con la sua squadra, misurandosi con la categoria Under 23, sapendo comunque di poter trovare nelle LAMPRE-MERIDA figure professionali con le quali condividere impressioni o alle quali chiedere consigli, anche grazie al rapporto consolidato con il dottor Carlo Guardascione, responsabile sanitario della nostra squadra nonché medico delle formazioni in cui il ragazzo ha militato negli ultimi anni e del team per il quale correrà durante la prossima stagione”.

 

Filippo Ganna ha espresso grande soddisfazione: “La LAMPRE-MERIDA ha sempre avuto un occhio di riguardo nei miei confronti, supportandomi durante il mio percorso ciclistico in maniera concreta con materiali e consigli: la scelta di avvicinarmi al mondo blu-fucsia-verde è stata quindi naturale e mi rende felice.

Diverse squadre avevano mostrato attenzione verso le mie qualità, ma la LAMPRE-MERIDA è sempre stata la priorità, anche considerando la capacità del team di valorizzare i giovani corridori. Ringrazio tutto lo staff dirigenziale del team e il dottor Guardascione per questa possibilità: pedalerò con grande concentrazione per dare il meglio con la maglia della mia attuale squadra, sapendo di poter contare anche sul valido supporto della LAMPRE-MERIDA”.

 

 

LAMPRE-MERIDA have once again demonstrated the attention towards young talent especially in the Italian cycling community.

 

Filippo Ganna, class of 1996 from Verbania (Italy), has been scouted by the blue-fuchsia-green team.

 

An impressive build with a height of 193 cm and a weight of 76 kg, Ganna is one of the most promising young Italian talents thanks to his excellent qualities as a time trialist and flat roads rider. The proof of his talent is shown with 4 victories in 2014 in the junior category, wherein the jersey of “Team Aspiratori Otelli Mastercrom”. One of these important victories being the Italian national time trial champion.

Filippo was part of the Italian national team both on road (with an excellent presence in Paris-Roubaix for juniors) as well as on track.

In 2015, this young talent will race for “Team Viris Maserati” under the close supervision of Team LAMPRE-MERIDA that will monitor his progression.

It is important to note that the skills of Ganna as time trialist and as classics of the North rider are a precious asset for the future of the Italian cycling.

Filippo will have all the tranquillity and space needed to work with his team in the Under 23 category, knowing however that he can find with LAMPRE-MERIDA a professional support in any way needed in order to share any advice and feedback, thanks also to the relationship with Doctor Carlo Guardascione, who’s our director of the medical staff and who has always been the doctor in the teams in which Filippo has always taken place”.

Even if I’ve been contacted by other pro teams, the choice of putting my trust in the blue-fuchsia-green team was obvious and makes me bery happy, also because the team always shown skills in the management of young riders.

In this year I’ll focus my attention on the activity of team Viris Maserati and I know I’ll have the opportunity to receive, in need, the support by LAMPRE-MERIDA”.
